P6/7 competed in a Chopsticks Challenge!
We had to use chopsticks to move things from one bowl to another (including 2 Malteasers)
It sure was a challenge!
Here are some of our best times:
Max – 27 seconds
Rian 31 seconds
Matthew 39 seconds
Carly 41 seconds
However, Dylan stole the title of Chopsticks Champion with an amazing record of 18 seconds! Well done Dylan.
P6/7 have been learning about Chinese table manners.  We made fact cards and learned about what Chinese people do when they sit down for a meal. We  learned that Chinese hosts give you loads of food and people
As part of their China topic P6/7 carried out research projects on an an area of interest. The pupils worked extremely hard and produced excellent projects. Some pupils made Power Points, others made posters and Alexander even made his own video on Origami. This was great as we got to learn about some unusual and exciting things about China. Here are a few examples:

P6/7 participated in the Chinese New Year poster competition organised by the University of Strathclyde and the Scotland’s National Centre for Languages. As a result everyone received certificates for the entries and a small class book with information on the animals from the Chinese Zodiac. We are very pleased with this.
