Mr Atkinson\u2019s comment:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rehearsing for the P6 Broons Guide to Scotland show has begun! The pupils have been working very hard to remember their individual lines and songs, thank you for supporting this at home.<\/p>\n

Literacy and English<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Retal – <\/strong>For our first piece of writing we were asked to create persuasive speeches based on one of the following topics; Fairtrade, pollution, healthy eating or why animals shouldn\u2019t be kept in zoos. This led to some interesting discussions!<\/p>\n

Tia –\u00a0<\/strong>Our next writing task was to create an advert to persuade people to buy a Fairtrade product. We drew our products and we were challenged to create an exciting description by using exaggeration, WOW words and a catchy slogan which some of us used alliteration for.<\/p>\n

Numeracy and Maths<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ruairidh \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>We finished our weight topic by applying our knowledge of converting to help us with solving word problems that involved adding and subtracting.<\/p>\n

Health and Wellbeing<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kyler –\u00a0<\/strong>In P.E. with Miss Hutchison we have started learning how to play Netball. This week we did some chest passing games and drills.<\/p>\n

Spanish<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Zainab – <\/strong>In Spanish with Miss Hutchison we learned how to count up to 20. We listened to a song and played games to help us learn the Spanish numbers.<\/p>\n

Science<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Lewis –\u00a0<\/strong>In Science we have begun investigating about sound. We found out that sound travels in straight lines but once it hits a wall it bounces back and changes direction in the form of an echo.<\/p>\n

Chloe \u2013<\/strong> In another lesson we researched and made a PowerPoint about how different animals communicate using soundwaves like whales, dolphins and bats. Afterwards, we shared our findings with the rest of the class.<\/p>\n

IDL \u2013 Fairtrade<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Aarohi \u2013<\/strong> In one of our Fairtrade lessons we researched different countries where Fairtrade products are produced and recorded this on our maps. We also learned about how buying Fairtrade products supports the producers.<\/p>\n
