Eid Mela<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today we were wearing cultural dress.\u00a0 Some boys in our class told us about their cultural dress and what they usually wear for Eid.<\/p>\n

“I feel good about wearing my cultural dress at school because I can show what religion I am.<\/em> ”\u00a0 Ali<\/p>\n

“The clothes we wear\u00a0 look the same as what other people wear, but they just have different name.<\/em> ” Ibrahim<\/p>\n

Repeating Patterns<\/strong><\/p>\n

Islamic patterns tessellate and are based around a star at the centre.\u00a0 We tried making our own tessellating patterns using shapes, symmetry and colours.<\/p>\n

“My design was based on the Moroccan flag<\/em>.” Andrew<\/p>\n

“The repeating patterns was really fun and I really like how we mixed the Eid Mela tasks in with maths.\u00a0 It was really fun and I hope we can do it again<\/em>.”\u00a0 Evie<\/p>\n
