In Literacy, we did some imaginary writing about a picture of a flying house and tried to include adjectives and openers. We continued our dictionary work and have learned how to search for words in the dictionary and put words in alphabetical order.<\/p>\n

While learning about the Vikings, we looked at pictures of artifacts and guessed what colour they would be and what they were used for. Last week we thought that their helmets had horns but we now know that this was made up. We also looked at maps and explored the routes that the Vikings took to different countries.<\/p>\n

In Numeracy, we have been learning about how to split numbers into tens and units and then practised addition using columns. We have also continued doing missing number calculations and tested ourselves with the Daily 10.<\/p>\n
