This week in Primary 2b…

Elfie the Kindness Elf

The class received a letter straight from the North Pole yesterday. We welcomed Elfie the Kindness Elf into our classroom and she is on a special mission to spot all the ways we show our kindness. Watch this space for a photo of the kindness tree primary two are creating.

Road Safety Week

This week we learned about Road Safety Week and ways we can stay safe when we are walking, cycling and scooting. We received a visit from one of the Junior Road Safety Officers who reminded us of the dangers we might see on the road.

RSPB Wild Challenge

During this week’s Woodland session we completed our first RSPB Wild Challenge. We surveyed the Woodland and playground area to find signs of wildlife. We created a shared piece of writing which showcased our findings. At our next Woodland session we are planning to create shelters for some of the wildlife.

Our Creations

Whilst creating our structures we use the blueprints to help plan then collaborate with others. Some learners use measuring tools to measure their structures or apply the problem solving skills they have been developing with Miss Ralston to improve their structures.

Nativity

This week everyone received their lines for the Nativity.  We have been working really hard in class and at home to learn our parts. The learners are very excited to share their performance with you on Friday 16th December.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
