This week in P2b we have been learning about…
Earth Day

“I was very excited to be the first person to spot the teeny, tiny pinecones.” – R
During Woodland, Miss Ralston introduced the class to Earth Day. The pupils enjoyed going on a nature scavenger hunt of the school grounds. As you can see by the photos, one of our learning powers was used well. Well done to everyone for working cooperatively. We will look at Earth Day in greater depth next week!
Under the Sea

The learners chose their new IDL focus before Easter. This term’s theme is ‘Under the Sea’. They will be learning about oceans around the world and the creatures that live in them. We have also sent off our letter to a marine biologist to find out more about her job and how she protects our oceans. Some the children have began exploring this theme in their play. For example, a group of children created a tower to represent each ocean and the tower was filled of the sea creatures that are found there.
Ramadan and Eid

The children have enjoyed learning about Ramadan throughout the last month. They enjoyed learning from their friends own experiences. They have displayed and applied their learning in various ways, including creating Eid cards and decorations for outside the classroom. Everyone is looking forward to the big Eid celebration next Friday!
Eid Mubarak to everyone who is celebrating Eid today. I hope you enjoyed your day and I can’t wait to hear about it on Monday.
I hope everyone has a restful weekend.
