During Literacy, we continue to improve our phonological awareness by playing listening games and exploring rhyme and syllables. We have lots of fun finding rhyming words in our stories and clapping out the syllables in words.<\/p>\n

Here are some examples of rhyming words …<\/p>\n

Erin – rat and hat<\/p>\n

Maxwell – bed and head<\/p>\n

James – log and frog<\/p>\n

In Numeracy\u00a0 & Maths we continue to explore our numbers to 10 through lots of fun games. We are working on counting on and back from different numbers, identifying the missing number and number formation.\u00a0 This week we have also had a look at patterns, 2D shape and Time, particularly exploring the seasons.<\/p>\n

Mohammad – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter are the seasons.<\/p>\n

In our outdoor space we have been engaging in lots of imaginative play! We have been putting people under a magic spell, creating our own potions as well as exploring the sand and water areas.<\/p>\n

We are coming to the end of our Castles Topic which has been great fun. We have explored the features and designs of various castles, created our own castles in our block area and we also used some recycled materials to build them too. We created our own crowns and designed our own shields to prepare us for battle!<\/p>\n

The children are having a great time exploring our classroom areas and continue to make friendships across the class which is so lovely to see.<\/p>\n
