potions, haunted houses and pumpkin fun

This week in maths we were exploring numbers before, after and in between. The boys and girls worked hard to use this new terminology to ask and answer questions. We also explored pattern and were able to copy patterns of colour and shape indoors and out. Next week, we will work more on creating our own patterns as this was a little bit trickier.

We had great fun with the parachute which helps to develop our listening skills. We had to listen for our names and colours to swap positions when the parachute went up. There were lots of giggles when the parachute landed on our heads.

We had lots of spooky activities set up this week as we approach Halloween. The boys and girls showed off their creative sides as they made up potions in their writing, made their own skeletons and played at the tuff spot where they could bring their potions to life.

We were glad of the rainfall as it meant all of our pots and pans were full to the brim to play with in our outdoor kitchen. We built dens, made mud cookies and flower potions in our P1 garden. A reminder that outdoor clothing is needed on a Tuesday and Thursday.

And finally, some photos of all of the fun we are having in our play areas…

Have a lovely weekend!
