We have been developing our tennis skills in our PE lessons. We began with how to hold the racket and the different types of swings; forehand, backhand, over arm etc.
We came up with different ways of practising our control of the ball; balancing it on the racket, bouncing it off the racket (forehand and backhand) bounding it off the ground, off the wall etc. We moved around the hall developing our control.
We then played different games in order to develop our control of playing the ball (or sometimes bean bag) towards a target.
Once we had developed our control we then worked with a partner or in groups of four to rally the ball back and forth with each other.
