We have been learning about Creative Writing through our Space topic. We have been practising extremely hard to use our phonemes and alternative sounds to make tricky words when we write a story. We have been making sure we sequence our story by having a beginning, middle and end!

An exciting activity we completed involved us making a Passport for our own Alien! We learnt about the properties within a Passport and created a detailed description about our alien.

We enjoyed reading about the ‘Purple Muncher’ which helped us write tricky words!

                                         

For another Writing activity, we imagined an Alien landing in our garden like the Purple Alien in the ‘Purple Muncher’ story. Our sentence began with – ‘If an alien landed in my garden I would…’

We then created an Art piece which showed our own Alien landing in our garden using different textures, materials and colours.

    

We were writing descriptive words about an Alien we created. We used words like bumpy, slimy, smelly, tall and small.

 

Throughout the week, we have been reading ‘Aliens Loves Underpants’. Using our knowledge about the events within the book, we wrote a creative story about our Alien wearing and stealing pants from Earth!

After creating our Writing piece, we made our own fancy underpants and alien just like the story.
