DESIGN COURSEWORK– students complete one SQA unit and a Portfolio based on a product and theme of their choice from lighting, jewellery or ceramics. Pupils continue to develop and apply their practical skills to their work. Pupils study a range of design movements and explore the social and cultural influences surrounding chosen key designs.  They further develop their critical evaluation skills through discussion and written responses.

EXPRESSIVE COURSEWORK– students complete one SQA unit and a Portfolio based on a produce theme of their choice from Portrait, Landscape or Still Life. Pupils continue to develop and apply their practical skills to their work. Pupils study a range of art movements and explore the social and cultural influences surrounding chosen key designs.  They further develop their critical evaluation skills through discussion and written responses.

EXAM – Pupils complete a Question Paper exam and submit their Portfolios to the SQA around Easter time.
