Despite the wintery weather at the very beginning of this month we did make it out on a Spring walk on a sunny day and found plenty of signs that spring is here!

There was plenty of warmth in the Learning Centre even though it was cold outside as we invited our friends to the Star Room for a visit to play and eat snack with us as part of our ‘All about me’ topic.

It’s been a busy month in the Star Room with lots going on. Our topic is ‘All about me’. We’ve had family into visit and made them Gingerbread people of themselves and the rest of our family members.  Also we’ve made pancakes for Shrove Tuesday.

While it was snowy outside we were busy inside too building our own snowmen!

We’re preparing for Christmas in the Learning Centre. Most of our activities this month are to do with Christmas!

Today we said a fond farewell to 2 of our super stars from the Learning Centre. We will miss you. You’ve worked hard and come far – keep being the best you can be!

We concluded our Under the Sea topic with a fun Crab drive! We’ve also been doing lots of things with shells in recent weeks.

We have been preparing for our parents visiting us for play and snack tomorrow!

We had good fun dooking for apples on Halloween!

Since returning to the Learning Centre we have been looking at skills such as working together, taking turns and sharing.

We have done a little work on our Under the Sea topic. We put on an under the sea story puppet show and made a marine food chain.

We have also been in the kitchen a couple of times learning about making healthy, seasonal food such as apple crumble and lentil soup. We are learning about using equipment with care.
