P6 visit to Norwood House
Pupils from Primary 6 visited Norwood House Care Home as part of our comunity learning to read books they had chosen to share with the residents.
The pupils and residents both enjoyed shairng the books and having a chat about their different interests and hobbies.
We are looking forward to our next visit already!
Mary’s Meals
Our Nurture Group visited Mary’s Meals to deliver some of the backpacks they filled with donations collected from Primary 1 and 2. Thank you to Mrs Britton and the boys for organising this fantastic project. @MarysMeals.
Have a look at their journey all the way to Barrhead Main Street (in the pouring rain!!) Well done!
Primary 1 and 2 toothbrushing visit
Primary 1s and Primary 2’s were lucky enough to have Mrs Tinney, the tooth bushing lady, into our classes to discuss oral hygiene and a healthy packed lunch box.
Mrs Tinny provided an active visit which allowed the pupils to experience the damage too much sugar can cause to teeth and the importance of keeping teeth healthy.
The children practised how to brush their teeth properly in a circular motion and learned never to put water on their brushes before brushing as it washes away all the magic toothpaste.
Community Learning
Welcome to Cross Arthurlie’s Community Learning blog.
Have a look at our ‘Learning in the community’ wall outside the school office to see what exciting and informative events are happening in and around our community and feel free to take a leaflet or two!
Keep up to date here with the exciting visitors coming into our classes to share their knowledge and expertise with the children and the different places we have planned to visit within our community.
