Primary 4/5 showed excellent team working skills today in their lesson with Primary 1. They planned, set out and explained exercise circuits aimed at Primary 1. They took great care to encourage and support Primary 1 in their learning. Primary 1 had so much fun and really enjoyed the circuits. Primary 1 also commented that Primary 4/5 were a good team because they took turns to talk and listened to each other. We are working on this in our class too! There are more photorgaphs on Twitter.
Our new resources have arrived in Primary 1 and they are brilliant! We are loving playing with Fairytale world and the children now want to write fairtytales this week. We will let you see how we get on!
Today was all about measure in Maths and Numeracy. The children are investigating and comparing different weights. They are using words like heaviest and lightest and putting things in order of weight. We carried out an investigation this morning estimating then weighing different things in the classroom. The children were playing with the scales in different ways.
We have been learning all about our senses in Primary 1. We were painting with paints that had different spices in them like ginger, cinnamon and cumin. We also went outside on a sensory walk to find out what we could see, taste, touch, smell and hear.
