Children in need 🐻

The children enjoyed the different activities we had at school to raise money for children in need. Wearing jammies was a lot of fun and very cozy!

We all had fun taking part in some games in the gym hall that our house captains organised.

We also went to the “toy sale” where the children could buy toys, books, or teddies that were kindly donated by people.

Lastly we had our buddies come down to our class to help us make some Pudsey bear ears. We all worked together to measure our bands, colour our ears and put it all together. They looks brilliant!

Fairtrade cooking 🧑‍🍳

Primary 1 have been learning about fairtrade foods. We looked at the importance of foods having the “fairtrade” logo and what it means for the farmers.

We used some different fairtrade foods in our cooking to see how many food are fairtrade. We first made apple crumble.

We also made some yummy pumpkin soup for our Halloween week. We took part in cutting all the vegetables safely. Everyone has the chance to try the soup if they wanted to, some even had seconds. 🍵🧑‍🍳

We will try use our skills again soon to make more yummy foods!

Art in September 🎨

We have been exploring nature as the children opened their own conkers. Using seasonal colours linked to autumn they created beautiful, bright conker paintings.

The primary 5 buddies wrote some very interesting stories linked to Mr Men. We went up to our buddies classroom in primary 5 and they read the stories to us. We created our own Mr and Mrs men together using our team work and colour pens. It was so much fun.

Start of Primary 1

Primary 1 have worked so hard for their first couple of weeks. We have been learning our first sounds of “s” and “a”. Looking at our numbers 0-10.

They particularly enjoyed exploring the new area outside of Muddy Movers. While digging the children managed to find different insects such as worms and snails. They had great communication and sharing skills while out there.
