Dance 🕺 🪩

We have been learning how to move our bodies in different styles of dance. We have been exploring dance styles from around the world 🌎  So far we have explored ceilidh dancing, line dancing and Bollywood dancing. Apologies for my teacher voice!!

Reading with P1 📚

We thoroughly enjoyed reading with Primary 1 and showing off our reading skills.

Looking Back Into The Past 👀

We have been widening our understanding of the past by exploring and investigating objects that were used in years gone by.

In Maths we have enjoyed exploring symmetry and deepening our understanding of symmetrical patterns.

In Spelling we have been scoring so highly in our weekly spelling quizzes. Thank you for all the support with spelling homework – it is really paying off! Lots of full marks the last few weeks!!  

In maths we have also been exploring 3D shape. We are learning how to identify a 3D shape and identify and name it’s properties including faces, edges and vertices. 

Bonjour! In French we are learning how to identify and say words to do with The Outdoors! We will practise our new vocabulary during Muddy Movers . We have been writing more in French and using visual aids to support us.

In ICT we have been learning how create a Google Drive Slideshow. We can log in to Glow, access Google Drive and create a slideshow. We are learning how to insert an image safely and change the background colour. We find this really fun! You can practise this at home if you simply log into your glow account. 

Another month of learning in p2 and March is over already!

We had so much fun helping to raise money for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day.

We have been learning how to measure liquids and calculate volume and capacity. We can convert millilitres into litres (in steps of 1000) and we can make sensible estimates about measurements of water.

We had fun visiting the library at The Foundry as well as celebrating World Book Day in class 📚

We are learning how recognise sounds and words in Mandarin with Miss Xu. It is really exciting exploring a language and culture different to our own.

We had a very special visit from the Fire Brigade! 🔥

We have been learning how to skip using the ropes. We are getting better each time. We love learning how to use skipping to help improve our fitness, burn some energy and most importantly …have fun!
