Languages Week!

Primary 3/1 have been learning about a different country every day this week. We have researched Scotland., Jamaica, Brazil, Venezuela and Belgium. We have been watching videos then creating posters, recording information in our jotters and we presented our findings on Jamaica in a presentation. We have enjoyed this and learned a lot of facts about all the countries.

In PE we are taking part in gymnastics lessons. We have been  built upon core physical attributes like strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination, across apparatus.

Mandarin

This term we are learning Mandarin with Miss Song. We learned all about Chinese customs and food in our first week. We are looking forward to learning more about Chinese animals in the coming weeks. We enjoy visiting the Mandarin Classroom.

Reindeer Visit!

What a great day we had today. Thanks to the Fundraising Commitee we got to feed two beautiful reindeers who were being looked after by their elves!! We also had a shot of their sleigh! 🦌

Making Butter!🧈

We have been working on a topic on Scottish Farming this term. We investigated all the different types of farms that we have in Scotland. We also looked at how certain foods are made. We used the Farm to Fork initiative.

We learned about Dairy Farming and we tracked The Journey of Milk. We then decided to try to make our own butter. After a lot of shaking our jars of cream we managed to make enough butter for us to try on a Scottish Oat Cake!

Children in Need!

We raised money for Children in Need by selling our old toys, books and games. We took part in a live workout on the screen in the morning and then we wrote our own Pudsey stories and drew Pudsey.
