Today we have logged in to maths games in our ICT slot. We have been allowed to chooses what maths concepts we want to work on.

Today we had maths target day. We had 4 targets that  involved us creating structures from following a plan, identifying higher and lower numbers, multiplying and solving puzzles. We had good fun.

This week is Maths Week Scotland.  Our first challenge was to create a Symmetrical Lego Challenge. We had the choice to work on our own, with a partner or individually. Here are our symmetrical

We have been busy since the start of term in Primary 3. We are all settled into our new classroom and have been working on lots of different activities.  Until all our forms are back we can not show our faces so here are some examples of our work on our Literacy, Numeracy and Art wall. Also we have completed our Class charter and we voted on Stitch to be our picture.

What a great way to finish the year with a fantastic trip to Summerlee and an ice cream van visit 🍦🍦🍦

We’ve spent lots of time this month learning about ‘Life in the Past.’

We had a great afternoon with lots of our grandparents. We learned how their childhood was different to ours. A huge thank you to each grandparent for taking the time to visit us.

We have really enjoyed learning to play Beetle Drive. We wrote instructions and enjoyed a game with our grandparents.

This month we revised what to do if we found a conscious casualty and learned how to help an unconscious casualty. We are all confident in checking for danger, clearing an airway, putting a casualty into the recovery position and calling 999 for emergency help.

A couple of Primary 6 pupils helped us to learn UNO! We love it 😍

Finally, we have spent some time in the big playground, learning what gate and path to use coming to school in Primary 3 and had fun playing with our friends on the pitch 🤩

Dance 🕺 🪩

We have been learning how to move our bodies in different styles of dance. We have been exploring dance styles from around the world 🌎  So far we have explored ceilidh dancing, line dancing and Bollywood dancing. Apologies for my teacher voice!!

Looking Back Into The Past 👀

We have been widening our understanding of the past by exploring and investigating objects that were used in years gone by.

On Monday we prepared for Sports Day with lots of athletics and skipping!

In Maths we have enjoyed exploring symmetry and deepening our understanding of symmetrical patterns.

In Spelling we have been scoring so highly in our weekly spelling quizzes. Thank you for all the support with spelling homework – it is really paying off! Lots of full marks the last few weeks!!  

In maths we have also been exploring 3D shape. We are learning how to identify a 3D shape and identify and name it’s properties including faces, edges and vertices. 

Bonjour! In French we are learning how to identify and say words to do with The Outdoors! We will practise our new vocabulary during Muddy Movers . We have been writing more in French and using visual aids to support us.

In ICT we have been learning how create a Google Drive Slideshow. We can log in to Glow, access Google Drive and create a slideshow. We are learning how to insert an image safely and change the background colour. We find this really fun! You can practise this at home if you simply log into your glow account.
