We have been practising our multiplication skills with fun speed races during our starter and plenary activities. Working in pairs, we have 10 cards in front of us showing the answers to a chosen times table, such as the 6 times table. Miss Taylor calls out a question like “6 × 6” and we race to grab the correct answer card, which would be 36. This helps us improve both our multiplication knowledge and our quick thinking. We have also been challenging ourselves on Hit the Button to see how many questions we can answer correctly as a class. We are trying to beat our class best score. It has been a fun, simple and exciting way to build our confidence with times tables! ➗⚡
