In class we have been enjoying our class novel, Ottoline and the Yellow Cat by Chris Riddell. After reading our chapter, we work in groups to answer comprehension questions. Each group discussed their ideas together and decided what they wanted their final answer to be. We then chose a group scribe to write the answer down and share it with the rest of the class. At the end of our lessons we also play a fun game called βHot Seatβ. One pupil takes the hot seat and becomes a character from the story, while the rest of the class ask them questions. The pupil answers as if they are that character, which has helped us think more deeply about the story and its characters. ππ
