We have been learning about Scotland and it’s history. The children took part in researching Scottish traditional foods such as shortbread, haggis and Scottish broth. \ud83e\udd63<\/p>\n

Together the children chopped, cooked and tasted soups they made. We choose to make vegetable soup and they worked together to chop vegetables from potatoes to carrots safely. They used safe holding positions of the knife to help protect themselves.<\/p>\n

The claw hold is being used to help the children hold their vegetables securely while they slice down. The children put all the ingredients into the soup maker and heard as the soup chopped and cooked ready for them to eat. \ud83d\udd2a\ud83e\udd55\ud83e\udd54\ud83e\uddc5<\/p>\n

Everyone took the courage to try the soup and by the looks on their faces most of them enjoyed it. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n
