P3 School Trip 🚜🚜

We had an amazing time at The Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride!  We loved making our own butter and exploring the farm.  Thank you to the parent helpers who came along with us.

BEES! 🐝🐝

We have really loved learning about bees this term.  The children led the learning and have thoroughly enjoyed all our activities.  The highlight was joining a live teams meeting with some engineers who have designed a bee hive which is heated by solar panels.  This heats up the hive and kills off any bugs which can harm the bees.  We thought this was very clever!

Looking for pollinators in the school grounds!

Our amazing bug hotel!

XA Nature Challenge 🌲🌳

The Cross Arthurlie Nature Challenge 🌳🌲🦅

Primary 3 have been learning more about nature and how we can protect our environment.  We started off by learning about different types of birds and then we made birdfeeders.  We hung them from branches around the school.

Well done P3!  We have ten challenges to complete ⭐

The Primary 3/1 Romans

THE ROMANS

We have really enjoyed learning about the Romans.

Our favourite part was learning about the Roman army and the life of a soldier.

We designed our own shields and helmets!

Languages Week Scotland 2024

LANGUAGES WEEK SCOTLAND 2024

We had a great week learning about languages from all over the world.

We researched countries we would like to visit and made a list of our favourite places and why we would like to visit them.

We looked at home for items made in different countries.  We brought them into school and listened to the language from that country.

We thought about food from around the world and C went to an Italian restaurant called ORO.  He asked the waiter what the word meant and found out it was gold.  C said his meal was delicious!

We played a game on Kahoot about different countries and languages.  It was great fun!

Book cover quiz – this was quite tricky!  We had to guess the title of the book by looking at the cover and then guess the language the title was written in.  Great effort from everyone 📚😊
