At the start of the month we celebrated World Book Day. World Book Day is a registered charity on a mission to give every child and young person a book of their own. It\u2019s also a\u00a0celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it\u2019s a celebration of reading. <\/span><\/p>\n

We spent our day doing a range of reading activities and throughly enjoyed it. <\/span><\/p>\n

We took part in a quiz where we had to identify books based on a section of their front covers. Bonus points were given if we knew the author of the books. <\/span><\/p>\n

We completed a booklet all about our favourite book in which we wrote diary entries, author interviews, summaries, character profiles, word searches and more. <\/span><\/p>\n

We enjoyed taking part in a Where\u2019s Wally scavenger hunt in our school corridors. <\/span><\/p>\n

We worked in pairs and used drama skills to perform a scene from a book which the rest of the class had to guess.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also enjoyed choosing a story to be read by another teacher in the school. <\/span>\ud83d\udcda\ud83d\udcd6\ud83c\udf89<\/span><\/p>\n
