Primary 5 have been creating their own computer animations and developing their coding skills through scratch.
Everyone’s favourite today in PE.  Tucks, balances, bars, ropes and jumps were among the skills used.
Primary 6 invited us to hear their election campaigns as part of their topic, ‘The Scottish Parliament’. There were some fabulous presentations which made it very tricky when voting.
This week Primary 5 have been learning how to throw and receive a rugby ball. They realised that a rugby ball’s shape makes this very tricky. Teamwork was key!
We have been learning about physical and chemical reactions.
We observed what happened when we mixed bicarbonate of soda with vinegar. We saw bubbles forming and then the balloon placed on top of the bottle inflated proving that a gas had been released. We all enjoyed seeing a real chemical reaction up close.
We had so much fun creating mosaic polystyrene tiles, and printing our designs.
So much fun during music today. We have been learning about Scottish music.
This week, Primary 5 have been learning about the differences between solids, liquids and gases.
Primary 5 worked together using hot and cold colours. Each piece of work was then pieced together to create an abstract portrait of a famous Scottish poet, who’s life we celebrate on this date each year. Can you see who it is?
