We are beginning to use our sounds to make short cvc words and recognising sounds in words we read.

It is very important that we take the time to move and get our brains working by following instructions whilst we have fun!
Foundations of Writing.
All good writing begins with strong mark-making skills. We are creating black-line drawings based on creating particular scenes, movements and expressions.

Number Scavenger Hunt.
The children gathered objects from their environment to make numbers. This is important, as they can make the connection of number as quantities.
Printing our numbers in order using paint.
Creating shapes using Geo boards.
Manipulating elastic bands on Geo boards is an excellent activity to build fine motor 
skills and help pupils to recognise shapes.
