In Science we have been learning all about magnets. We have been able to identify magnetic materials in our classroom, conducted magnetic experiments using liquids and looked at the effects of north and south poles on each other. We also created a magnetic game called Go Fish! We had to make the game by ourselves in pairs and then we got to play the game to see who became the winner!
Great fun at the Muddy Movers!
In PE we have been building up our fitness levels by completing fitness stations. We have been feeling our pulse before and after each activitiy and our pulse was getting quicker. Today our stations were shuttle runs, agility ladder, bunny jumps, bounce and catch and jump the distance.
We had a great Christmas Day today. We played lots of games, danced and made snowman biscuits. Here are some of our pictures!
Recently in Science we have been learning about Food Chains.
We investigated the terms herbivore, carnivore and omnivore. We had to draw and label an animal and then correctly sort the animal using a whole class Venn Diagram. We had lots of fun!
We now have a wonderful new school library where we are timetabled to go with Mrs Britton. We went this week and we really enjoyed the experience. Here we are enjoying it.

We have started a new RME topic all about the Parables of Jesus. We listened to and discussed the story of the two builders or the wise man and the foolish man. We talked about the message of the story and how we should always work hard in everything that we do and be kind to others.
We used different building materials and tried to build a house on cushions to be like the foolish man who took the easy way out. We then built a house on solid foundations – it was more difficult to knock down. We decided we would rather be like the wise man. We also designed our own dream homes!
Party Hats
Carrying on with instructional writing in our comprehension we read some instructions about how to make a party hat. We answered all the questions related to the instructions then made our own hat. We are wearing them on our heads in the first photo.
Fruit Kebabs
In Health we have been talking about healthy foods and snacks. We made some fruit kebabs which are a great healthy snack. We then wrote instructions for them as well.
We have been learning how to write instructions within our writing lessons. We are making sure that we include a ‘you will need’ list and that our instructions are clear and easy to follow. We made cucumber sandwiches to help us get the right order. We even ate them afterwards😋
