If you are having problems logging onto GLOW, please look for your password and username in your home learning pack which was given out at school.  If you didn’t receive one of these, please contact the school using our email address and we can help you.

Good morning primary 1/2.

It’s Friday already and I have been so proud of all your hard work this week. It’s been a very strange week but it’s been so good to have our google classroom so that we can all keep in touch.

Try some of our activities if you have time.

I’m going to start my day with Joe Wicks although my legs are a bit sore! He makes me work very hard!

Today, everyone will see ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ – this is the book we read in class last week and giggled about! 😂

MATHS

We have been learning our doubles in class.
Can you write the doubles out in your jotter today? 1+1=2, 2+2=4, 3+3=6
Or can you draw a butterfly and make each wing have the same number of spots – learning about symmetry and doubles! 👏
Write the calculation to match your wings. Have a look at the blue butterfly for an idea.

The Gingerbread Man

We wanted to build a boat for our friend Ginger so that he wouldn’t be eaten by the fox.  We had lots of fun testing different materials to see what would float and sink.  Our boats were very good and only 3 sunk! Excellent engineering P1/2! 👌😁

 

We had a fantastic day in school to celebrate our love of books!

We had lots of fantastic costumes and lots of fun activities during the day.

Well done everyone! 🤩

XA FACTOR 2020

Well done girls for making it through to the LIVE FINAL!

We were so proud of you both 😍

Nervously awaiting the results …

And …. they were third!

What a fantastic result out of so many wonderful contestants.

Your rendition of ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’ was beautiful.

Very well done 🤩

FEBRUARY has been another busy month!

We have been learning our doubles using spots on the ladybirds.  This also made us think about symmetry.

We learned new things about Chinese New Year and talked about The Great Race.  We looked at some very interesting Chinese artefacts.

      

We have been working really hard on our coordination skills in the Gym Hall and now we are learning about the sport of badminton.

We created some beautiful pinch pots using clay.  We filled these with love heart chocolates and gave them to people we love on Valentine’s Day!

We loved every second of our adventure walk!  So many little rivers to walk through and so many interesting things to talk about.  We can’t wait to go again!

 

      

      

      

      

We have been thinking about correct letter formation and these resources have really helped us.

PHEW!!  It’s been busy!

 

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It was lovely to be back in class with P1/2 today.  All the children were very kind and helpful.

Everyone was happy to see their friends and we all worked very hard!

Everything in the room has changed around and we were all excited to try out new things.

We enjoyed creating patterns with 2D shapes and pins.

Our new Library was really popular today!

We talked about our favourite stories and we will display our drawings in the new Library corner.
