Viking shields

Primary four had great fun using maths and art skills creating and designing Viking shields.

First they used a compass tool to draw the perfect circle then used their maths skills to split their circle into fractions, taking extra care to make their parts equal sizes.

They then selected their choice of paint to colour their shields.

Gymnastics

Primary four had their first session of gymnastics today. They worked in groups and pairs to create fantastic partner balances and routines. They supported and encouraged each other while communicating clearly to each other.

They learned how to use new equipment and challenged themselves by adding in balancing and jumping on the horse.

They used a variety of ways to travel across a bench and experimented with different jump shapes ensuring they landed safely on two feet.

Primary 4 have been  learning about Glasgow. They have researched some of Glasgow’s landmarks using the internet and books and created fantastic notes. They then used their knowledge to create art work of the River Clyde and the Clydeside buildings.
