Bikeability
Primary 6 have started working towards their Bikeability Level 2 award.
In the playground we have been demonstrating safety checks on our bikes, clothing and helmets.

We have been developing our skills before we get to the road sessions. We are working on-
- Taking off safely – performing checks and signaling.
- Signaling accurately.
- Stopping safely.
- Left hand turns.
- Right hand turns.
- U-turns.

Primary 6 are having to use a lot of risk-assessing skills and on-the-spot thinking during these sessions. We are looking forward to putting our new skills to use on the road!

February
Primary 6/1 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Primary 3’s RSPB Fundraiser. Well done to Mrs Powell and her class for organising and hosting us!

Special Visitors
On Thursday last week we had a special visit from the Elves and Reindeer!

Primary 6 have started to learn about the 7 Elements of Art. Everyone created a piece of artwork displaying all 7 elements.
We had a whole focus on the element of Line where we all experimented drawing different types of lines. Some of us had a go at “taking a line for a walk” inspired by the artist Paul Klee where we completed a continuous line drawing without lifting our pen from the page.
