We have finished our block of gymnastics lessons in PE. We loved using the frame for the first time along with all of the other equipment to develop our gymnastics skills such as balancing, rolling and jumping. We feel much more confident now than we did at the startπͺπΌπ€ΈββοΈ

Partner Balances
Our PE focus for the next few weeks is gymnastics. This week we practised partner balances. We worked in pairs to create lots of different balances using our partners for support. This was fun! π€ΈββοΈ
Fitness
Our focus for PE this term is fitness. We will be working on improving our stamina, strength and speed. Today we took part in fitness circuits such as:
Shuttle runs
Bench step ups
Slalom
Speed bounce
Hula hoops
Hopping
Agility ladder
Bean bag hold
Next week we are going to work in pairs to record our speed and scores at different fitness circuits. Each week we will try to beat our previous scores. πͺπΌπββοΈππ¨βοΈ
Judo
On Friday we were invited to attend a Judo session organised by Sporting Judo Barrhead at the Barrhead Foundry. We werenβt too sure what to expect as most of us had never taken part in judo before but we absolutely loved it! We enjoyed watching the instructors demonstrate some judo movements and then carrying them out with our partners. We also learned the Japanese terms for start, go and stop. We are looking forward to session two later on this week.π₯
