Our Class Trip to the Co-Op

Today my class visited the CO-OP for Fairtrade information since we have been learning about it. We walked out of school then crossed the street to get there. When we got there a man called Lee told us about Fairtrade products and how they were the first to make Fairtrade products and how every purchase helps people using Fairtrade. He set us a task to search for four different Fairtrade products and one had to be non drinkable and non edible. After that he told us CO-OP premium gives Fairtrade 2P of every pound we spend at the CO-OP . Finally we lined up to either get an apple, banana or a tangerine and took a picture with a BIG Fairtrade banana! Then we walked back to school while eating our juicy, squishy and Fairtrade piece of fruit. We really enjoyed being at the CO-OP and we want to have another trip there.

World Book Day

During world book day this year we took part in a scavenger hunt where we had to answer questions about different books then find the answers. There were lots of questions around the hall. We also got to read a book that we brought from home or one of our favourites from the library  in darkness using torches to read.  This was super cosy and we found that the darkest place was under the table!

Planters

This month we visited primary 2.1, we planted bulbs in pots so we can plant next term when it is a bit warmer. We are sharing our planter with primary 2 and thought we could help them when with planting. Primary 2 were amazing they knew exactly how to plant the bulbs and they even showed us around their  classroom. We have been taking care of these in class and a couple of our bulbs have sprouted.

Bike Ability Practice

The Primary 7’s helped us play games using our bikes and scooters! Look at us go!
