We have re-visited the technique of pointillism and we have created lizards that would be found in the Rainforest. We feel it gives a good texture for a reptiles skin. We know that they can change colours in different environments.

Weather Forecast!
In our IDL lessons we have been discussing climates. We compared the climate of Scotland with the climate of the Rainforest. We have discovered some similarities and differences between them. We then created our own weather forecasts for Glasgow and the Rainforest and performed them in front of a green screen.
Diva Lamps
In RME with Miss Little we have been Learning about Hinduism and the Festival of Light, Diwali. Using clay, we carefully crafted diva lamps into their traditional shape and painted them with wonderful bright colours, well done Primary 4!
Halloween Fun
We have had lots of spooky Halloween fun today. We made a mask of our own choice and we are really proud of them. We think they look great!
Paddington!
We have all become very familiar with a bear called Paddington in Primary 4 and we have loved creating art work, stories and drama relating to him. He is a bear who is living in a different surrounding where he has to adapt to changes. We feel he’s helping us understand that even though things in our world is different just now we can all still have fun and learn new things even if we are a little worried. Here are our paper plate Paddington faces.
Human Body IDL
We have been completing a lot of Interdisciplinary Learning in Primary Four. We have been investigating the Human Body and in particular our skeleton and our major organs. We were given a problem solving group task to create a child size human skeleton. We had to work together to cut and order then assemble the skeleton. We all achieved this in the end. Here are our completed skeletons!
We are back!
We are all happy to be back in Cross Arthurlie. We are fitting into a new routine and it’s been fun seeing all our friends again. At the moment we can’t show you our lovely faces on camera but we can show you our hard work.
Photo 1. We have drawn our own faces and completed some personal writing.
Photo 2. We have been thinking about healthy minds and healthy bodies and we created skeleton art work.
Photo 3. We have re-created Piet Mondrian art work.
Photo 4. We have been revising symmetry and our multiplication tables in Maths. We created symmetry animals and rainbow multiplication.
