Fun Day Part 1!

Thank you to our fundraising group as we had a very FUN day in Primary 4/2. We started our day in an Escape Room that we had to solve lots of different clues to be able to have our break. Luckily we all managed it. There is a photo of the winning team.

Sports Day!

We all had great fun at Sports Day at all the different stations.  We had to dribble a ball, jump, chest pass, throw a bean bag at a target and complete an obstacle course. We all tried outright best and had fun !

Wall Displays

We have been working hard on creating work for all our wall displays. We think it brightens up our classroom environment. As nobody can get in to see them we thought we would display them on here. Here are a list of what we have been working on.

1. We have been studying the artists Keith Haring, Gillian Kyle and Jeniffer Hogwood. We re-created their paintings.
2. In Maths we have been reading, interpreting and creating bar graphs. On our wall we have recorded the results of a class survey of our favourite ice-cream then created a bar graph of the results.
3. In French we have been learning the foods from the Hungry Caterpillar story which we can now read. We labelled some of them.
4. In Literacy we have been studying the novel Ottoline and the Yellow Cat. It is a detective story and one of the problems is to find Lost Dogs. We drew Lost Dog posters based on the novel.

Christmas Board Games!

We have worked hard together as a group to produce a Christmas Board Game. Our criteria was that it had to involve maths questions and have a set of instructions to follow on how to play the game. We played our own game first to evaluate if it worked.   We then  played all the other games. We gave our feedback to each other on what we thought of the games.

Wall Displays!

We have been creating great art work to display on ourPrimary  4 walls.

1. We made Toucans out of paper plates. We thought about the bright colours that you find on a Toucans beak.
2. We used a colour mixing and silhouette technique to create a spooky haunted house picture.
3. We used a wax resist and print technique to create a warm cozy winter hat and even made a woolly pom pom for the top.
