P3: The Romans ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ•

We are learning how explore historical movements which have impacted Scotlandโ€™s history. We are doing this through the learning context of The Romans. We will be researching and investigating how the Romans changed Scotland and gave us things that we still use today. We started by using an Atlas and Google Maps to identify where Rome is. We discovered where Italy is on a map and we know to look for its famous boot shape! We created and annotated our own maps of Italy to identify where Rome is; other main cities; borders with other countries and seas and lakes. We did so well at this challenge!

In Art we learned how to apply colour and texture. We learned that Julius Caesar led the Roman Army when he was only 16. We looked at a picture of a statue of him. We decided to jazz him up a little with some modern, abstract colours. We really enjoyed this process as the statue came to life! ๐ŸŽจ
