P3: Food Chains πŸŒΏπŸ›πŸ¦…

We are learning how to interpret and create food chains in Science. Our knowledge of food chains is so impressive! We have retained so much information over the last few weeks – I am so impressed! We know to start all food chains with a producer. We can categorise animals into different animal groups such as reptiles or fish etc, and also identify if they are a herbivore, carnivore or omnivore.

We know thatΒ food chains are created as all plants and animals require food and energy to survive, including us. We know that humans are at the top of all food chains!

We can identify and name decomposers such as bacteria and fungi and some bugs. We know that decomposers are essential in breaking down dead creatures and add nutrients to the soil which then support the plants which begins the food chain again! At this point we like to start singing The Circle of Life! Just us?! Β πŸ—πŸΎπŸ¦

To complete our Food Chains topic we created artwork to celebrate the king of the jungle! We learned how to collage to create these colourful masterpieces! Roar! 🦁
