XA Factor

What an achievement for these two.  Both Lewis and Evie smashed their performances at the XA factor.   A huge congratulations to both of you, we are all very proud.

 

Evie won the 2023 XA Factor show.

Block Printing

As part of our Victorian topic, Primary 6 have been learning about William Morris.  He was a well known textile designer, poet, artist and printer during the 19th century.

 

The children learned about printing techniques and created their own wallpaper design using block printing.  They were very creative and enjoyed the printing process.

 

Athletics

Primary 6 enjoyed their Athletic taster day.  They learned new skills and participated in exciting new games. Here are some photos of the javelin throw and the long jump.

 

On a Monday at 3pm – 4pm P6 have been invited to join the Athletics club with Mr Rose.

Poppy Scotland

Primary 6 have been learning about Poppy Scotland.  They have written poems to engage the readers’ attention, created interesting art work to show developing skill, taken notes and created a new text and collected donations for the Poppy Scotland Appeal. (ARTICLE 15 and 28)

Billie Jean King Tennis Cup

Today we visited the Emirates Arena in Glasgow as we received free tickets for the Billie Jean King Cup.

We saw one match, Switzerland Vs Italy and then enjoyed taking part in the outdoor activities.  (ARTICLE 31)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Netball

Primary 6 have been developing their Netball skills. They are learning how to mark an opponent, pass and move into a space, defending and refining their shooting technique.  (ARTICLE 28)

 

Mandarin

Primary 6 have been developing their Mandarin skills over the last six weeks. They can count to 100 and know how to say the days of the week in Mandarin.  (ARTICLE 2 and 28)
