School Trip
Today we had our annual school trip. We visited “Free wheel north” at Glasgow green where we cycled on different bikes, karts and tandems.
We ate lunch in the park, played rounders, football and visited the Peoples Palace. The weather was excellent all day☀️☀️☀️
Fire Safety
We had a fire safety chat from the fire brigade today. After the presentation we got to look inside the truck and have a shot with the water hose.
Features of an election
Primary 6 have investigated the features of an election and learned how a democracy works. They worked in teams to create their own political party, write their own manifesto and prepared a persuasive argument. Finally they voted for their favourite party… The BSP (Brain Snail Party) won.
Bikeability-On the road.
Primary 6 had their first road session. They learned how to turn left, perform a U-Turn and showed confidence when cycling beside the cars.

Barrhead High School
Primary 6 visited Barrhead High School’s technology department. They learned how to file and melt acrylic, use a vice and drill a hole. They designed their own key rings using the values from the high school.
Judo
The children visited the foundry for some Judo lessons. The children loved learning new moves and working together.
Science with Primary 1
Primary 6 created a Science lesson for Primary 1. They taught them about coding, electricity and forces.
Music Demonstration
Cara, Sophie, Sophie and Alexandra demonstrated their musical skills today. They talked about their instruments and how to play notes and chords. They were very confident and really captured the attention of the class. Well done girls!
World Book Day
Primary 6/1 celebrated World Book Day 2023 by creating stories of their own, creating new characters, literacy quizzes, scavenger hunts, reading and lots of conversations about their favourite books.
