Hope everyone had a restful and safe weekend. Remember that all work posted is just to support your learning and there is no pressure to complete it all. It must fit round you and your family.
Most of the class are active on google classroom so can I ask that if you are having any issues accessing the work that is being posted there that you email the school address and they will pass that on to me.
Literacy and English
Reading Skills
Complete your reading skills booklet from your home-learning pack for one or two books of your choice. Monday to Friday’s reading skills tasks should be completed by Friday.
Spelling
Copy this weeks spelling words into your jotter just as you would in class. Discuss with an adult the spelling rule and any patterns you notice.
You can chose any strategy from your spelling menu to complete this activity.
Word of the Day
Complete the activities for the word of the day. This will help you practise your literacy skills while we are off.
If you know any very interesting words that could be used then let me know.
Maths
Squares and Triangles
Learning Intention-
We are learning how to find the fraction of a quantity.
Success Criteria-
I can find the fraction of a number by dividing by the bottom number (denominator).
I can find the fraction of a number by multiplying by the top number (numerator).
Hi Squares and Triangles 👋 this is a fairly new topic but it combines skills that we have previously learned. I think you will manage this maths topic easily but I am going to go really slow so if you find it easy then that’s a good sign. 😊

Learning Intention-
We are learning how to multiply by two.
We are continuing to learn how to multiply by two. Complete the textbook page into your jotter. If you have a deck of cards or a dice at home why don’t you teach an adult or sibling how to use these to practise multiplication.

I have received a letter from the Easter Bunny on your behalf. He is in a bit of a panic and hopefully you all can help him.
When completing your task don’t forget to be creative. Show off all of your hard work by taking a picture and posting it to the class feed. I look forward to seeing everyone’s finished work.
