Since Halloween looked a lot different this year, we had the best day celebrating in school. \ud83e\udd87<\/p>\n

After reading our handwritten spooky stories\u00a0in the morning, we read a Halloween picture book story by David Walliams.\u00a0 We then read and translated a frightful French poem! We read the poem in French and tried to spot words we recognised or ‘les mots transparent’ – words in French that look like English.<\/em>\u00a0 We are gaining a lot more confidence when reading and translating French.\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>
\n\"\"<\/a>Later we built pop-up Halloween cards by listening carefully and following a series of instructions. We wrote thoughtful messages for our family in them. The children were commenting on how grateful they were for all the fun little things their families had planned for them over Halloween weekend, from watching movies to looking for sweeties around the house.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the afternoon we finished our cards whilst watching Coco (a firm favourite in our class) in the background. Miss Hamilton set up Halloween games around the classroom for us to visit.<\/p>\n

We played Ten Pin Boo-ling and tried to knock over the ghosts! We had so much fun!<\/p>\n

We went ‘dooking’ for apples and really enjoyed eating them! Some of us were having too much fun playing and eating to stop for a photo! \ud83d\ude05<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Since we wouldn’t be able to go Trick or Treating around the doors this year, we recorded our Halloween jokes on a Flipgrid to share with our classmates. The best joke won a prize! You can check out our jokes on our Google Classroom.<\/p>\n

To finish, we made some ‘potions’ drinks. Some had wiggly worms and teeth floating in them! We collected some Halloween sweeties out the pumpkin as we went by.<\/p>\n
