Today we learned the importance of being able to help someone in an emergency situation. We learned how to deliver cpr and practised this on our manikins. We understand that in a life threatening situation it is better to take action than to do nothing at all.

Homeward bound! The children have had a great time but also look forward to coming home. They have one more activity to do… well actually two.

They have to clean their rooms! See parents and carers!

Seems like we have only just begun this adventure and it’s almost over! Never the less it’s onwards and upwards!… unless you are abseiling then it’s downwards.

We hope you have enjoyed looking at our photos as much as we enjoyed our adventure, but let’s face it… you haven’t! It’s been a blast and the disco marks the last night. One more activity and then it’s back to Barrhead!

You would have though tiredness would have set in by now but couldn’t be further from the truth! The fun keeps coming. We have some new activities to report. We have some rock climbing and and wee night line blind fold activity! We still have 2 more days!

Well done to our P7 netball players who won a netball tournament this evening competing against other Barrhead schools. Our girls look like they are thoroughly enjoying their success.

Second day and the first full day of activities. Absolutely beautiful weather. One of the groups started off with Mega Sup ( stand up paddle board). Others were honing their building  and others went on a hill walk. Some children were mountain biking with Mr Mitchell. More children were out on the boat trip!

 

First day of the residential and P7 have settled in and getting started with the first lot of activities.

We have been boating, seeing seals, getting to actually drive the boat along with a walk, crate stacking, and a little orienteering in the evening!

Today P7 have been learning about the human skeleton.  They have learned what the skeleton does and what the bone names are.

We then went onto make our own X-ray!

Today we had a really exciting visit from Eilidh and Alana from Scottish Power. They came to speak to us about their jobs in Scottish Power where they work in renewable energies. They explained different types of renewable energies to us and we designed our own islands with wind farms and  solar energy. We also tried out VR headsets and designed windmills.

In PE we have now moved on from gymnastics to fitness where we’ve been working in pairs around  various  stations to build up our fitness and stamina.
