Today the children had an opportunity to write on slate using chalk, just like The Victorian children would have done so in school.
Since returning to school the children have enjoyed developing their knowledge of the Victorian Era.
They have learned about Victorian playground games such as The Dusty Blue Bells, Hoop and Stick, Hop Scotch and kick the can.
They enjoyed learning how to make Victorian toys such as table top spinners and Peg Dolls.
How amazing are these!! The children have worked hard to build and design their Solar System. Well done everyone.
The children have been working hard to create their window displays.
We hope you can come and see them.
Today we were focusing on how to pass in Rugby. It was tricky to pass backwards but everyone had great fun.
We were learning about the effect of everyday chemicals. We found that oil and water don’t mix meaning that oil is not soluble and they stay as two separate liquids. We also used effervescent tablets and found that they are soluble and so mixed with the water to become one liquid.
Well done to Anthony who was our star writer this week. He wrote an engaging poem using rhyming words and alliteration. Keep up the good work Anthony.
