We have been learning about Christmas around the world and for our concert performed Christmas in France. Here are a few photos of us before our performance.
We have been learning about the Rainforest and last week using virtual reality we ventured into the depths of the Rainforests of the world. We came up close to various exotic plants and animals.
We have been learning about germs. We know that there are 4 major types of germs: Bacteria, Fungi, Viruses and Protozoa.
We learned how quickly germs can spread by carrying out a few different experiments.
The first one was with potatoes 🥔. We all touched it with our dirty hands 🤢and then touched another one with our clean hands and over a few days observed what happened. We noticed that after just one day the potato that we touched with our dirty hands had already started to turn brown 😮.
We did the same for the second experiment but this time with bread 🍞.
After experimenting and researching we worked in groups to make our own germ board games.
We have been learning about electricity. Today we worked together to investigate and make electrical circuits using bulbs, buzzers and motors.
Thanks to all our parents and carers who joined us for our open afternooon! We had a great time doing activities with you and being able to share our learning.
Here are a few photos of us working together creating our model lungs and spine.
We have been learning new concepts in Maths this week. We have enjoyed using games to practise our multiplication tables and used Starburst to learn all about Probability.
Some of us even took on the role of being the teacher, teaching others to tell the time.
We have been learning about the human skeleton and can name and identify the bones in the body.
We enjoyed taking part in various activities to support us with our learning.
P4 enjoyed taking part in the skipathon for National Fitness Day.
