Today we were focusing on how to pass in Rugby. It was tricky to pass backwards but everyone had great fun.
We were learning about the effect of everyday chemicals. We found that oil and water don’t mix meaning that oil is not soluble and they stay as two separate liquids. We also used effervescent tablets and found that they are soluble and so mixed with the water to become one liquid.
Well done to Anthony who was our star writer this week. He wrote an engaging poem using rhyming words and alliteration. Keep up the good work Anthony.
We have been learning about the significance of the Poppy. The children created soldier silhouettes using sugar paper and wrote their own poems which were influenced by John McRae’s ‘Flanders Field’.
The children have been learning about shape, tone, wash and form. They used water to diffuse the lines to create a wash effect.
Mrs Qiu returned to Primary 6. The children were learning about The Mid Autumn festival that is celebrated in China.
The children are reading their class novel “ Oranges in no man’s land”. They were interested in learning more about Lebanon and created mind maps to show their learning. They compared the lifestyle and culture of Lebanese people to their own culture through mini presentations.
We have identified achievements, skills and areas for development.
Primary 6/2 have been learning how to compare and contrast. They investigated fashion styles through the decades and identified similarities and differences to their own style.
