Sports Cars

Primary 6 have been studying sports cars and learning to calculate distance, speed and time. After watching a short film about some of the big brand sports cars, Primary 6 designed their own cars and wrote a newspaper article using persuasive language to influence consumers to buy their cars. We then learned about forces, motion and energy and used the air from balloons to power our model cars and compete in a race.

Picture 1 newspapers, picture 2 the race, picture 3 the winning design.

Graffiti

Primary 6/1 are all very happy that the desks are grouped back together and enjoyed sitting beside a friend on their first week back, which was really important in building positive relationships. We have been very successful in learning lots of new skills around the fun context of graffiti. Creating blackout poems in graffiti style art and setting ourselves personal targets which we all hope to achieve by supporting each other  this term. We think our graffiti wall will look great once completed! The class also participated in a debating session, discussing whether graffiti is vandalism or art. What do you think? We have had a great first couple of weeks.

Good morning Primary 5! 🌞
