Primary 4-1 and 4-2 have been learning how to help someone if they are choking. We revised the Heartstart training for calling for help, how to stop a severe bleed and placing a casualty in the recovery position.
Class Charter
Primary 4 investigated the Rights of the Child by reading and discussing the different articles. As a class we decided which articles were important to us. We will work together this year to explore how we protect children’s rights.

Art and Technology
Today we designed our own theme park rides. We worked as a team using a range of materials to create unique rides to fit in with the theme of our park. We loved being creative!

P3 had a brilliant trip to the Science Centre learning all about ‘The Journey through the body and exploring the different exhibits.

Sports Day
We all enjoyed taking part in the potted sports and house races. A fun filled and exhausting day!
Mandarin sports and expressive arts week
We have enjoyed trying some new Chinese sports including table tennis and fan dancing and extending our gymnastics skills using our new equipment.
Science – Food Chains
We have been learning all about food chains. We explored the different types of living things in our playground and found some interesting plants and animals.
We found grass, leaves, daisies, worms, beetles, slugs and even a ladybird.
We discussed what different animals eat and drew our own food chain. Now we know that plants and animals need each other to survive.
Social Studies – Ancient Egypt
We finished off our Egyptian topic by exploring different artefacts and books. We used all our previous learning to describe what each item was and why it was important to the Egyptians.
