We designed a new Christmas cup for Starbucks.  Then we used a QR code to see what our designs looked like in AR ( augmented reality) on the iPad.  Our designs looked really bright,clear and eye catching.

This time of year is very busy in school.  We have been making Christmas decoration which we sold at the Christmas fair.  We have also been practising our songs for the show.  Sometimes we need to just relax by the log fire, listen to Christmas music and read a good book.

We enjoyed being tiny teachers today in Primary 1/1.  We  helped teach the children in Miss Lowson’s class about germs and keeping healthy through our fun games.  The Primary one children had a great time and we loved being teachers.

Today we used the Virtual Reality headsets to explore rainforests in the Amazon, Thailand, Bali and Madagascar.

We have just started exploring the different  rainforest around the world.

We discovered that all rainforests are between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn.   We also remembered from Primary 2 that there is an imaginary line around Earth called the Equator.

As a class we will soon decide which rainforest to investigate further.

We have been revising our knowledge of 2D and 3D shapes.

We investigated number systems in history. The three we found the most interesting were Egyptian, Babylonian and Mayan. In teams we had to put together a jigsaw of each number system and work out what the symbols would be in our number system.

Once we worked out each number system we had a go at some simple adding and subtracting calculations using the different number systems. I think we are all happy we use 1,2,3,4😅.
