Dancing – Oompa Loompa style! πŸ•ΊπŸΌπŸ’ƒ

After our novel study of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, we decided to polish up our dancing skills and learn The Oompa Loompa dance from the 2005 Tim Burton film adaptation.

We used a step-by-step guide on the big screen in our classroom to learn the moves and keep the beat.

Once we had our moves perfected, we split off into groups to create our own 16 beat group dance to compliment the part in the Β story where Augustus Gloop gets sucked up the pipe! We worked brilliantly in our groups, creatively coming up with inventive ways to tell a story through movement.

We also had A LOT of fun being Oompa Loompas for the day! 😝πŸ€ͺ
