As we move into more wintery weather, we were set the challenge of creating a cave for the Abominable Snowman.  We had limited resources to do this:  mini marshmallows, cocktail sticks and a paper cup.

We had to plan and create our design, focusing on how to make a strong and stable structure.  Each group did this slightly differently, but all did this successfully!  We discussed this as a class and agreed that structures that used triangular shapes with more connections, seemed to be the strongest.

Hopefully, now the Abominable Snowman has a cave to live in, he will stay there for the rest of the winter!
