Numeracy

One group has been learning about volume and how to measure liquid. Another group learned reflex, obtuse and acute angles. We have also been learning about line graphs

Literacy

We have been learning about Willy Wonka and reading the book together in class so that we can do fun activities corresponding to the book.

RMEd

We have been learning about worship , churches and the similarities between Bourock and St John’s churches. We have also been learning the Easter story.

Health and Wellbeing

In PE we have been developing our netball and basketball skills.

Science

We have been doing experiments on sweets to see what happens.

Social Studies

We have been drawing the Fair Trade logo and finding out about Fair Trade products.

We have been learning about Fairtrade.  In our groups we are a Fairtrade family.  We do different tasks and if your table is the best then you will win money for your table.

We had a research task to design a sweety making machine.  THis was linked to our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory topic.  We had a great time doing this!

Numeracy

We have been collecting information from our class to make bar graphs and pie charts. With the information we collected we made one about our favourite characters from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

PE

We have been learning how to dribble a basketball.

We have been learning about The Scottish Wars Of Independence. After learning about castles we made a trip to Stirling Castle for the day.  We had lots of fun and we enjoyed ourselves.

Numeracy

One of our groups are learning division calculations; the other group are learning about right angles and how to identify them.

Health and Wellbeing

We have been learning about medicines and how to use them safely.

We are enjoying PE this term.  We have been playing badminton and hockey.  We have also been learning archery!

We have been learning about the time line of The Scottish Wars of Independence.  We have been ordering what has happened in the Scottish Wars of Independence by the oldest dates to the most recent dates.

We have been learning about Heartstart.  We made leaflets about what to do if someone has a heart attack.

Numeracy

We have been learning about measurement.  We have been measuring places all around the school to see how long they are and how wide they are.

We have been learning about Scottish Wars of Independence. We presented information, in a poster, about the different ways of living.  We also learned about how the war started and how it ended.  We know the names of kings of Scotland.

Expressive Arts

We have been learning about Pablo Picasso and created pictures in his unique style.  We like the wacky style of his artwork.

Literacy

We have been trying to make our writing more interesting by using vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation.
