P7.2 Leading Learning

P7.2 have been exploring the variety of ways data can be displayed and how, at times, data can be misleading. Working together with friends and discussing our thought process has helped us to feel more confident when drawing conclusions from a range of graphs.

We discussed how data handling could be applied in real life, taking on roles in different careers and acting them out. [TV companies, business managers, medical scientists, advertising companies]

At the end of the week, each group selected a misleading graph and created a presentation to the class explaining how it was misleading and how it could be improved. All children were confident in this skill and enjoyed collaborating on their nRich Maths Challenge. Well done to all of those who managed to solve it.
